The River Road Motel

“As a result of the floods I required urgent accommodation. I could not speak more highly about how genuinely welcoming , helpful and straightforward the mother , daughter and house keeping team have been. With years of business travel and no end of 5 star hotels I appreciate how spoilt this could make a person. This is a budget hotel but with so much charm and soul. I’m a clean freak so the first thing I noticed was how everything was super clean which is often not the case in budget. The rooms (3 ) I’ve seen have been so much bigger than any thing imaginable more like a small apartment. Plenty of Natural light and very homely. It’s been like taking a step back in time with no one ever rushed or to busy to help. I could not recommend a budget hotel or the lovely ladies who run it more highly than this.”

“Good rooms for a family. Friendly service and microwave and toaster. TV needs to be upgraded to a smart tv…very comfortable stay and I would stay again.”

“Absolutely beautiful, everything is here. A few steps, the Tweed River across the road. Bus to anywhere 20 mins stroll, north, Coolangatta Queensland.”

“Dropped in late for last room on way through. Very clean and basic room with own parking.Extremely comfy bed and very quiet. Great price and lovely reception. Great value for money. Will stop in here again.”

“Couldn't ask for more with customer service, staff have been more than helpful & respectful, if you need help with anything more than willing to go out of their way. Rooms always kept clean, beautiful outlook on to tweed river, shops within km, beaches 5 mins in every direction. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR AT PRICE PER ROOM.”

“Affordable accommodation, hence why it probably fills up so quickly!! Luckily after phoning regularly/checking often & then it pays off 9/10 when a vacancy comes up. The only reason I'm not so fond of the area is because it's difficult navigating getting around on public transport which doesn't run as frequently as it does on the Gold coast.”

“Riverfront, clean comfortable place where the staff ensured my stay was a happy and enjoyable one! Great rooms and everything is at your finger tips! Lots of Great Local knowledge on shopping and dining venues, pubs and clubs and activities to do with the kids. I will definately be coming back here! A huge thanks to Wendy, Bianca, Ronnie and Kate for making this such a memorable stay!!”

“We have stayed at this motel for a while now due to unforeseen events & we're so glad we chose River Road Motel..Great price compared to other motels in same area won't mention names of a couple motels we stayed in, in the same area but I'd rather go without wi-fi then have bed bugs curtains that fall apart at touch & you're paying easy $50 or more for. Your more than made comfortable & welcome here, rooms have everything you need especially for the price. Wendy(owner) Bianca(daughter & manager) Ronnie ( all round live in help, which she does so we'll couldn't go out of her way more to do whatever she can for you) actually their all like that & will help with any local information you may need. The beautiful Tweed River just across the road, great yacht club just down the road atmosphere is amazing and the view.. assorted food places on way to shopping mall & local once again just up the road. I know I've gone on a bit much & I could go on about beaches, restaurants 5-10 mins in car if that.. but all of this probably won't fit in 1 review.
